Service information

The Council’s contribution to tackling climate change includes reducing its emission of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases from its own activities, promoting active travel, improving air quality, addressing fuel poverty, recycling household waste and reducing the impacts of local flooding.

Climate change adaptation

The Council’s Climate Change Adaptation Strategy and Action plan sets out the priority risks associated with climate change and the existing and proposed adaptation measures that should be implemented to ensure that the Council’s services continue to operate in a changing climate.
