We recommend that you pay your council tax by direct debit because it is the easiest way. It is also the only payment method that gives you a choice of payment dates - choose to pay on the 5th, 15th or 23rd or last day of the month.
If you pay by cash you can pay on the 1st or the 15th of the month and can request that your instalments are spread over 12 months (if requested before 15th April) or spread over the remaining number of months available.
How to set up a direct debit
The quickest way to set up a direct debit is to complete the online form.
