Improvements to the Planning service.
Work starts in early November 2016 to modernise and improve our Planning service by transferring records into digital format and updating our computer systems.
This will result in a more efficient service and help people to access to our information more easily.
The process will take several months and normal service may sometimes be delayed or disrupted. Every effort will be made to keep any disruption to a minimum and updates will be published here as work progresses. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any queries.
You can search for planning applications using the online planning explorer. This allows you to search for your application using the criteria below.
You can use "%" in your searches to help you find what you are looking for. For example 10/10/12% would find all applications between the numbers 10/10/1200 and 10/10/1299
You will be able to find information dating back to 1999.
Forms, plans and decision notices are usually available to view for planning applications submitted after January 2008.
A selection of documents are available to view for applications dated 2010 onwards. All applications are available to view in full by prior appointment at the Town Hall in Blackburn. Please contact us to arrange this.
Plans, drawings and materials submitted to the Council are protected by the Copyright, Designs and Patent Act 1988 (Section 47). You may only download or print material for consultation or inspection purposes. Further copies must not be made without the prior permission of the copyright owner (the applicant/agent/architect) or otherwise, you will be in breach of copyright.
