The Countryside Services Team invites you to discover Witton Country Park, whether you are wishing to make use of its Activity room,  or one of the many services based at the Park from Countryside Services to Healthy Lifestyles to Sports Development.

Witton Country Park host many different events and activities throughout the year, whether it’s from joining in one of many organised by the Countryside Services Team.

Those include regular family fun activities at the Pavilion Activity Room or why not explore the Park and join us on regular guided walks each month. That discover the history and the wonderful scenery of the locality, as the park has some fantastic walks within the Park and onto the West Pennine Moor, with the Beamers Walk, part of the famous Witton Weavers Way.

Forthcoming Events at Witton Country Park - July 2015

Sunday, July 5 12 noon - 3pm

Xplorer is a fun family challenge aimed at primary and pre-school children for all the family, mums dads, grandparents. Register at the Countryside Pavilion Activity room-1pm-4pm. Launch of our new family orienteering activity for the Park, and will be held regularly throughout the year, open to children aged up to 11year old, must be accompanied by an adult. (Small cost applicable) Register at the Countryside Services Activity Room based at the Pavilion.

Imagine the excitement of a scavenger hunt in the woods, or a treasure hunt in the park.  That’s us!  Children will enjoy using a simple map to try and find secret animals, and interesting facts pictured on markers hidden around the park. You can run or walk the courses and can choose to time themselves against the clock for an additional competition.

Saturday, July 11 - Sunday, July 12

From Friday 10th to Sunday 12th July 2015, celebrate the summer with all the family at the first ever Balloons & Tunes festival at Witton Park Blackburn.

Balloons – A breath-taking array of hot air balloons that will tether throughout the day, with a variety of special shaped and competing balloons!

Tunes – A dedicated stage featuring a full line-up of pop music tribute acts, including Adele, Rihanna, Pink and Take That!

Giant funfair – All the latest white knuckle rides, traditional family favourites, children’s attractions and trade stalls!

Saturday glow night – A spectacular Glow Night, where all the hot air balloons light up in a choreographed musical display!

Family entertainment – A full program of family entertainment provided by Artizani, including the group’s famous mini circus performances, with clowns, jugglers, stilt walkers and magic!

PLUS… trade stalls, food court, free car parking, and a fully licensed bar for mums and dads to catch a breather in between all of the excitement!

All balloons, music and family entertainment will be on Saturday and Sunday when entrance is just £3. The Friday is FUNFAIR ONLY where it is free entry with a special ‘friend rides free’ promotion

Punch & Judy, fun games for all the family, archery, dads & lads sporting fun activities -football, mums & daughters fun sports-netball, blowjangles musical fun, and much more!!
