Inventors' information point

Inventor's Point  Working in partnership with the Innovation and technology service of the Regeneration department, Technet North West and Manchester Libraries, Blackburn Central Library provides an Inventors information point to help those with ‘bright ideas’.

The launch of the service in 2004 was a significant achievement for the Council and the Technet-NW project, as it was the first of its kind to open outside of the major cities and the PATLIB 14-library network.

The Inventor’s information point includes a dedicated PC to access databases and useful links, plus helpful leaflets to take away and a large collection of books on business, finance and technology to borrow.  Staff provide an information and advice service and can refer clients to free Patents clinics which are held at Blackburn Central Library, subject to minimum numbers.
