Would you feel more secure knowing that your business premises had a little extra protection?

 

Business Watch is a police-led initiative operating across the borough of Blackburn with Darwen.

It offers an effective safety network for business owners, alerting them to suspicious activities and crime in their local area via email, and bringing them added security against crime as well as a range of other security benefits.

How does it work?

Business Watch offers you the added security of knowing that your business premises are part of a wider intelligence network, safeguarding you and other local businesses from crime.

When you register as a Business Watch member you are allocated a Watch Co-ordinator who liaises with the local police to keep you informed of any crime issues affecting your area. You will normally be notified of these via email.

Conversely, if you have any information about crimes or suspicious incidents in your area, you can send it to the Watch Co-ordinator for circulation to other members.

Business Watch areas

The Business Watch scheme currently operates in the business areas of Whitebirk Industrial Estate, Greenbank, Furthergate & Shadsworth Business Parks as well as in Trident Park and Peel Retail Park. The project is being expanded to include the Mill Hill area.
 
If your business is not within any of these areas we would welcome your application to join and would ask for your patience as this service continues to expand.

How do I register my business?

To join the Business Watch scheme complete our online form.

Once you have registered, you will be contacted by a Lancashire Police Watch Co-ordinator and will also receive the following FREE services:

•  Business Watch signage for your premises
• email alert system
• security checks/reviews
• support in devising your own Crime Prevention Policy
