The head of policy acts as deputy to the director of policy and communications and leads on all aspects of the Council’s policy agenda as well as managing the diversity and community cohesion team.

The head of corporate research manages the research function for the Council and Local Strategic Partnership, leads on citizen engagement and needs analysis and will head up an innovative new joint intelligence unit.
