Audio visual services are based mainly at Blackburn Central Library on the ground floor. We also have a substantial collection at Darwen library with smaller selections at our community libraries.

We have a range of services for those with a visual impairment or hearing impairment, and for those unable to get into their local library, we provide a housebound service.

Blackburn with Darwen library and information service in collaboration with Blackburn with Darwen Primary Care Trust are working with local doctors and mental health professionals to offer this scheme to those who want to use books to help themselves.
