Darwen leisure centre
Darwen Leisure Centre has an impressive 25 metre, eight lane, swimming pool; a teaching pool; a main gym with 80 pieces of equipment; a multi-purpose fitness studio; a multi-use sports hall and activity rooms that are available for a range of courses and room hire.
Please note: There may be some tradesmen still on site for snagging and final touches. This may mean that different parts of the building will be closed down or sectioned off to allow this work to continue. This will mainly affect day time activities.

> Darwen Leisure Centre does Sport Relief!
- Swimmers are being invited to swim a mile to raise money for Sport Relief.
- The event, which will raise cash to help tackle poverty and disadvantage in the UK and across the world, takes place on March 21 between 2pm to 5pm.
- It is open to everyone and requires people to swim 64 lengths of the new pool.
- While not a competitive race, leisure centre staff will be handing out prizes to the fastest.
- The categories are: Fastest adult, fastest veteran (over 50) fastest junior (under 16) and fastest Council worker.

- Monday – Friday: 7am - 10pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 9am—5pm
Fitness Gym
Comprises of 80 pieces of cardio vascular and resistant equipment including treadmills, spinning bikes, gym circuits, cross trainers and free weights.
The opening times for the gym are above.
The Gym is available under the re:fresh free leisure programme each Saturday and Sunday between 1pm & 5pm.
All users must attend a gym induction at a Blackburn with Darwen Leisure Centre prior to their first time visit.
