Blackburn with Darwen social services department, in partnership with Blackburn and Darwen Primary Care Trust, commissions and provides a wide range of services to, and support for, people with mental illness and their carers.
Primary treatment will probably be in the hands of someone's own GP, but they may be referred on to specialist community teams who work together with service users to promote independence, confidence and a better quality of life.
