There are also a range of activities provided in the centres and out in the community which promote health and wellbeing through community groups, use of local allotments, leisure facilities and community venues. Sessions include multi-sports, healthy eating workshops, local theatre visit, community ‘clean-up’ projects or going into town.
Care and support is on hand to help ensure people are able to participate fully. Lunch and refreshments are also provided, any specialist dietary needs can be catered for.
Specialist day services are open to people over 18 with social care needs who have been assessed as eligible for support. We can offer you help and advice on what services we can provide to help you get the best out of your day opportunities, but to meet your needs you must first have an assessment carried out by the adult social care team.
After the assessment and panel decision, we will identify and agree your needs with you and discuss the help and support available to meet them, according to the seriousness of your situation.
