The day care centre at Hopwood Court (William Hopwood Street, Blackburn) provides day care services Monday to Friday for adults with a learning disability, dementia, autism and specialised care needs. The service is run by Blackburn with Darwen Council.
In order to be eligible for a service at Hopwood, we do need to carry out an assessment.
The centre offers a wide range of person-centred therapeutic and stimulating activities. There are purpose built sensory rooms and individual therapy equipment. Tracking hoists are also available throughout the building to enable us to support with complex disabilities.
They also offer a home cooked meal however there is a charge for this.
