The garden waste scheme runs annually from 1st March to 30th November, allowing you to dispose of your garden waste appropriately.
Subscription to this service is optional and is charged at £35 before end of January 2023, £40 after.
For this price, you will get:
- a large brown garden waste bin, delivered to you (if you don't already have one)
- a garden waste collection every 2 weeks except in December, January and February
- a garden waste pack. This includes a bin identification sticker for each bin and a collection calendar.
If you subscribe before 31 January, you are guaranteed to get your pack before your first collection. If you subscribe after this date, you need to allow 3 to 4 weeks for delivery of your pack. This means that you might not get your sticker in time for your first collection, and your bin won't be collected.
You can't put these items in your brown bin:
- plastic bags
- plant pots
- stones
- rubble
- soil
- household rubbish
- food
