Dangerous buildings

Information on how to report a dangerous building.

We respond to all reports of dangerous buildings, walls and structures in Blackburn with Darwen, on a 24 hour, 365 day a year basis.

Dangerous buildings or structures can be caused by things such as a general decay or collapse, fire, an accident involving a vehicle or a gas explosion.

Dangerous buildings are controlled by us under sections 77 and 78 of the Building Act 1984.

How to report a dangerous building

If you believe a building or structure poses an immediate risk to public safety, you can contact us.
