Hygiene Products

School Provision

The period product scheme is available to all state maintained schools and 16 to 19 education organisations in England. It provides free period products to girls and women who need them in their place of study. The scheme is available for organisations to order until July 2024.

Rummage Rescuers 

Feminine Hygiene Support Project - free products available from the Harrison Street Warehouse. Ask for Betty and a discreet bag will be given to take away. 01254 264093 hello@rummagerescuers.org.uk

Rummage Rescuers also have crisis intervention support for essential items, including household goods and clothing.

The Mall

If you go to the help desk and ask for Florence, you will be given a discreet bag to take away.

If you go to the customer service desk and ask for Sandy, you'll be given a discreet bag to take away. 

School Uniforms

Rummage Rescuers

Pre-loved uniforms are available at Rummage Rescuers from their Canterbury Street warehouse. Donations are also welcome! uniforms@rummagerescuers.org.uk

Children's Centres

Pre-loved uniforms can be dropped off and picked up at these children's centres:

  • Livesey
  • Audley
  • Queens Park
  • Shadsworth
  • Darwen
  • Little Harwood
  • Highercroft

These rails also have some coats available. You should also check with your own school to see if they run a swap shop at the end of the academic year to drop off and pick up uniform.
