Enforcement and prosecution policy

The Council has a variety of enforcement functions, the purpose of which are to promote public safety and to protect public amenities, the environment and consumers.

Local byelaws

Byelaws are laws which are made by a local authority and only apply within a specific geographical area.

Whistleblowing

The policy sets out the ways in which you may raise concerns that you have and how those concerns will be dealt with. It gives protection to you from harassment, victimisation or bullying where you raise concerns within these procedures.

Modern Slavery Act

Since 1 October 2015, commercial organisations that carry on a business or part of business in the UK, supply goods or services and have an annual turnover of £36 million or more ("relevant commercial organisations") have been required under section 54 of the Act to prepare a slavery and human trafficking statement (as defined by section 54 of the Act).
