There is a wide range of sporting facilities available.
The park has many areas which have either level access or are accessible via the use of ramps and hand rails.
These include:
- a sports turf
- an athletics track (with changing rooms)
- a show field
the Pavilion café
A whole range of events and facilities take place which include:
- mini soccer
- picnic areas in woodland settings
- playgrounds (with climbing apparatus, a slide and wobbly bridge)
- large musical instruments

Location
Directions from Blackburn town centre
The park is 1 mile from Blackburn town centre, on Preston Old Road (the A674) heading towards Preston, via Feniscowles.

The nearest railway stations to the park are Cherry Tree and Mill Hill, which are both a half mile away. Blackburn railway station is 1 mile away.
Parking
A large car park is located at the main entrance to the park off Preston Old Road A674, next to the all-weather sports turf facilities and next to Pleasington playing fields pavilion.
For disabled park users, there are car parking bays on the main car park and also very limited parking at the pavilion. To open the barrier for access up the main drive (15 mph speed limit) a RADAR key is required.
Parking charges only apply to the main and astroturf car parks, from 8am to 9pm, 365 days a year.
Tower Road and Pleasington car parks are free.
The cost is 60p for 2 hours or £1.80 for the whole day. The machines take both coin and card payments (including contactless).
Blue badge holders are exempt from the parking charges if a valid blue badge is correctly displayed.
